Our current project

How to Help

As the Orange County High School of the Arts is a 7-12th grade school, it is pertinent for us to provide these sanitary necessities to students as they are transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. With our focus in arts, we hope to promote art while fundraising for our project. We are still very much in the developing stage, so if you have any ideas, please feel free to share them below and we will be sure to give you credit! Currently we are looking for talented artists and designers to help create designs for products that we could sell-- such as T-shirts, stickers, pins, and more. Our biggest project at the moment is our sticker commissioning project, as seen here:

Donations are also very very much appreciated. Please contact us below if you can volunteer or donate to our cause.

Our Club

To broaden the support behind Operation Menstruation, we started it as a club in February 2017. Through our club at the Orange County School of the Arts, we hope to recruit many other students and fundraise at school events and plan fundraising projects during club meetings.

Our Goal

As current seniors, we hope to supply our entire school before we graduate. But, we believe this project to provide basic sanitary necessities to students should spread beyond OCSA's campus. Hopefully when we reach our first goal, we can fundraise for other local schools and homeless shelters.

Our Vision

Through Operation Menstruation, we want all the female and gender neutral bathrooms to have feminine products provided for free so that no student has to worry about that aspect of hygiene, as public schools should allow all students, regardless of sex, to have a safe learning environment.

Operation Menstruation

Public bathrooms serve for one purpose: sanitation. While sanitary napkins are an absolute necessity to women’s health, they are currently treated to be luxury items. Operation Menstruation aims to provide OCSA students with free sanitary napkins/pads, and hopefully this movement will spread beyond our school’s campus.

Our Accomplishments

We are ecstatic to announce that we have now provided pads in the gender neutral bathrooms in the main building.

Sanitary napkins are available in the Webb Theater main office, the Student Services, the lobby front desk, and the 3rd/6th floor gender neutral bathrooms of the tower!

We are currently working on getting more bathrooms provided, as well as aiding our new chapter (Woodbridge Operation Menstruation) start up! Thank you everyone, especially Mrs. Freeland, Mr. Dion, and other faculty members who supported and helped us so much with this.
